![]() ![]() ![]() If they can change a setting to get there. ![]() I thought, I’ll let tech support clear this up. I’ve been aware of this shortcoming for years. I tested the newest version of SnagIt 12 today, and I cannot. You on the other hand, seem convinced SnagIt 12 can do this. I upgraded from SnagIt 2020.0.0 to 2020.0.1Īfter which I was able to record and produce in stereo. Well Rick, I don’t view this as a head scratcher at all. I consider recording a video as it plays incredibly inefficient and destructive in nature.Īs a last ditch effort with no other options.I still don't care for it. It still drops frames when recording video. SnagIt still records directly to mp4, a lossy format. Fixed other crashes, performance, and security issues. The Box output handles filenames better when sharing.Simplify glyphs should now have better contrast when a color close to white is chosen.Improved the accessibility of navigating the video recording UI with the keyboard. Can now drag items all the way to the right to re-order when in Video from Image mode.More work to keep drop downs out of the recording area when recording in Video from images mode. There should now always be at least a few tools available to draw with when entering Video from Images mode.Reduced the likelihood that Video from Image captures can freeze due to unreliable audio devices.Added a Video from Images hotkey: Ctrl+Alt+V.Faster load times for the Template picking window.Improved the sorting and category order of the Template picking window. No longer showing drop zone placeholders when flattening or saving an image. After entering and exiting drop zone edit mode, Undo and Redo work better and drop zones are more stable.Clicking anywhere in Editor will now exit drop zone edit mode. The Enter key now commits changes when editing drop zones.Fixed a crash when, in certain circumstances, an image is dropped in a drop zone and then exiting Snagit Editor. The former method of Combining Images (introduced in Snagit 2019), has no been moved to the top of the list in the Template picking window. However, up until now.Its been mono, its got nothing to do with my computer. This new feature is not specifically included in 2020.0.1's release notes. I just updated to 20.0.1 and got a stereo recording.Your screen shots shows you're running 2020.0.1 You may notice the "professional" recording plays in both ears while the school recording only plays on one channel and you would then hear it only in your left or right ear. I suppose one easy way to test this theory would be to listen to things with stereo headphones connected. But the school recording misses audio because it wasn't produced with the same audio on both channels. And if that's the case, perhaps it explains why the "professional" type of recording records perfectly as it's getting the same feed recorded on either channel. And perhaps the amateur school recording only produced video using a single channel. But in reality is recording only one channel of a stereo production. So what I'm pondering is if perhaps when Floyd Schleyhahn records and all seems fine, if maybe his snagit is somehow configured to record in mono. ![]() When listening via headphones, you generally hear only the left or the right channel. And I've seen many instances where I listen to news organization and other videos where only one channel of a stereo recording was played. So Joe demonstrates that his recordings are mono. Especially WRT the mention of "Professional" recordings coming out okay while the amateur school recordings don't. If SnagIt won't record it, I'll try IDM on in thinking about this and in the context of the side discussion WRT the stereo/mono issue, the following thought comes to mind. Just to receive your info, if I get unwanted traffic for giving it out.I'll delete it. I'm not crazy about giving out my email. So I just created a brand new one. Its like $10 a year or $25 for a lifetime subscription. I suspect you may have run into that yourself. People report they cannot capture webinar audio and certain audio streams from the internet frequently. I use Camtasia’s recorder, which isn’t much different than SnagIt. You can even pause and restart downloads. Primarily, enabling it to run your browser. There’s a bit of a learning curve setting it up. This lasts for the duration of the recording.ĭownloading is 10’s time faster with a slow internet connection. Tying up a secondary monitors activity, or perhaps your entire computer. SnagIt’s going to drop some frames and recompress the video and converts stereo to mono. You Tube, Vimeo, news videos or just about anything on a website. It downloads pretty much any video from the internet. I’m going to suggest you run a free trial of IDM “Internet Download Manager”. ![]()
